WOWorks Franchise Got New C-Level Roles to Accelerate Growth

Saladworks, Frutta Bowls, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, The Simple Greek, Barberitos Southwestern Grille, Cantina, and Zoup! Eatery’s parent company, WOWorks, has created two new c-level positions for its leadership team to help drive accelerated growth for its brands. WOWorks established two new Chief Brand Officer positions to oversee and manage its two groups of six restaurant brands.

Saladworks, Frutta Bowls, and Zoup! Eatery have appointed Lauriena Borstein as Chief Brand Officer. She was previously Senior Vice President of WOWorks and General Brand Manager of Saladworks and Frutta Bowls.

Lauriena Borstein, Chief Brand Officer of Saladworks, Frutta Bowls, and Zoup! Eatery, stated that she is thrilled to be leading these better-for-you restaurant brands, which have shown tremendous growth potential for providing the kind of nutritious, fast-casual food guests crave – from soups to salads to fruit-based menu items. They also provide an excellent opportunity for co-branding. She is excited to offer all franchisees a support system to help them transition to WOWorks and the opportunity to offer two menus at one restaurant.

Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, The Simple Greek, and Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina have appointed John Geyerman as Chief Brand Officer. He previously worked for WOWorks as Senior Vice President of Operations and as General Brand Manager for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh and The Simple Greek.

John Geyerman, Chief Brand Officer of Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, The Simple Greek, and Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina, stated that he is honored to lead three amazing, plant-forward restaurant brands that offer our guests exciting global flavors. He went on to say that as the healthy-halo concepts expand across all traditional and non-traditional foodservice venues, from grocery stores and airports to university campuses, all of their marketing and operations initiatives must align with all other restaurant brands.

WOWorks franchise has also created two new vice presidents of marketing positions better to align its six brands’ marketing initiatives and processes. Lori Kern has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Marketing for Saladworks, Frutta Bowls, and Zoup! Eatery. She previously worked for Saladworks and Frutta Bowls as the Director of Marketing. Mark Kreiner has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Marketing for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, The Simple Greek, and Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina. He previously worked as the Marketing Director for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh and The Simple Greek.

Kelly Roddy, CEO of the WOWorks enterprise, which Centre Lane Partners, LLC., fully owns, expressed her delight at seeing WOWorks’ corporate infrastructure expand to include these new Chief Brand Officers and Vice Presidents of Marketing, as well as ten additional staff promotions with expanded responsibilities and goals. She provides senior strategic and tactical oversight to each restaurant brand to improve unit-level economics and drive overall growth. The corporate restructuring will also help these executives become more familiar with the brands of each restaurant.

WOWorks franchise expects to end the year with over 400 restaurants and over 10,000 job opportunities in the restaurant industry due to its recent acquisitions of Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina and Zoup! Eatery. WOWorks will continue to increase their negotiating and purchasing power, use cost efficiencies to fuel growth productivity, and improve vendor support as they expand their portfolio of better-for-you restaurants through shared services and plans to leverage best practices from all six brands.
